About Us

Your Salt Connection provides an extensive range of salt products and equipment in Waterloo region and surrounding areas, including London, Hamilton, Mississauga, Toronto, Guelph, Branford, and Brampton. Our salt yard is open to homeowners and contractors alike for order pickups. We also provide delivery services for some of our products (conditions apply).

Meet the Owners

Rob and Linda Tester

After being involved in the snow industry for several decades with his first company, TNT Property Maintenance, Rob Tester launched Your Salt Connection with his wife, Linda, in 2010.

Rob always strives to stay on top of the industry’s best practices. To this end, he attends training sessions yearly for the repair and maintenance of snowplows and salters, and actively shares his knowledge and expertise with new contractors through mentorship programs.

Linda Tester holds a BA in Economics from the University of Waterloo. She oversees the general office duties and helps with orders, quote requests, and other tasks around the yard. As YSC’s CHSO (Construction Health & Safety Officer), she is also responsible for YSC’s Safety Program development.

Rob and Linda are both Certified Health & Safety Representatives and are 100% committed to safe work practices.

Meet Our Staff

Brian Tester

Yard Manager

Brian has been working in the field and the shop since he was 12 years old. He is your go-to person if you need to schedule a repair, ask questions about our services, or buy a plow or salter in the winter. Brian attends yearly training sessions for plow and salter servicing.

Bobby Tester

Night Yard Manager

Bobby has been working in the field and the shop since he was 14 years old. He is the main point of contact for contractors during our evening hours in winter. During the summer months, he is the main point of contact for the pickup of supplies.

Missy Tester

Office/Yard Assistant

Missy has been working in the field and the shop since she was 15 years old. She can usually be found in the office trailer, helping customers with their payments. She also helps with delivery orders.

Andrew P

Service Technician

Andrew has been working for YSC for the past 9 years. In addition to being our Health & Safety Representative and helping with the loading and unloading of products, he is also the service technician for plows and salters. Andrew attends yearly training sessions for plow and salter servicing.

Repair Services for Salters and Plows

We provide repair services for most makes and models of plows and salters, including for brands such as Boss, Western, Fisher, and Snoway, among others. We also carry a large inventory of parts for a wide range of plows and salters.

During storms, our Repair Bay remains open for contractors at no extra labour charge.
